I taught 8^th grade math and Algebra I at WJHS starting last year.  I will be teaching the same courses again this year.  Prior to that, I taught 2 years at MHS.  While at the high school, I taught Finance Math for seniors, Algebra II, Math Staar, and served as a dual credit facilitator.  I have been at this school district for 3 years.

Prior to working in Monahans, I taught for many years at Denver City High School, Burnet Middle School, and Brownfield High School.    I am starting my 19^th year this year.  I was blessed with the opportunity to stay home with my children until they all started school!  I then returned to teaching.

I am  blessed to be married to Scott Burkett, CTE director for the school district.  We have 3 children – Bailee, Zach, and Mackenzie.  All of our children are working for the school district this year 

We have 10 chickens, 1 rooster, and 2 goats!

I love to hike, read, watch movies, bike, and spend time with my family!
